Be safe

BE SAFE: Have secure, safe and stable home lives
Children and young people need secure, safe and stable home lives. Through the many services and organisation across the county, Warwickshire aims to be a county in which the safety and security of children and young people is paramount.
Through the organisations and services operating in Warwickshire, we strive to ensure children and young people feel safe and secure on our streets, public spaces and in their homes.
Child Friendly Warwickshire - Be Safe
Spending time at our country parks is a fantastic way to get to know your outdoor world, understand some of the risks of different environments, and learn how to keep safe. Here are a few things to keep in mind as you become an expert explorer:
- Stay well away from the water’s edge – hidden dangers like debris and diseases lurk beneath the surface, and cold water shock can take you by surprise with deadly consequences!
- Always make sure a trusted adult knows where you are going and have a reliable means of communication, like a fully charged phone.
- Fill up your outdoor skills toolkit! Learn first aid, basic bushcraft, and how to read maps and natural signs in the environment. Our events and ranger-led sessions can help build those skills.
