The Stratford Greenway is now open in full

The Stratford Greenway is now open and accessible from start to finish following the early completion of resurfacing works. Milcote Café and Bobby’s Café are open as usual. We would like to thank visitors and businesses for their patience while these essential resurfacing works have taken place and look forward to welcoming you back.

The Greenway is a high quality surfaced path suitable for cyclists, walkers and wheelchair users. It is part of the National Cycle Network, forming a five mile section of the West Midlands Cycle Route, which links Oxford to Derby via Birmingham. The Greenway is traffic free, but you will need to cross some minor roads along the way. Please remember that other cyclists, horseriders and walkers will be using the route and you should slow down as you approach them, and sound your bell if necessary.

Stratford Greenway is a permissive bridleway between Long Marston and Milcote and, other than two gates near to Seven Meadows and Milcote car parks, there are “horse boxes” constructed adjacent to the gates over which a bicycle can be lifted (they are about 250 mm high).

Parking

Warwickshire’s Country Parks operates a cash-less car parking pay and display system to make it easier for visitors on arrival. Please note that we are now able to accept payments via a smartphone or smartwatch as well as contactless cards. Parking Charges apply for all, including blue badge holders.

Parking charges apply at this country park. If you fail to display a valid day ticket or permit then you may be issued a parking charge notice and a fine of up to £50.
