Can I still get into my local country park?
Yes, anytime if you live within walking or cycling distance of a country park. Access is still available via the footpaths so that local people can use it for their daily exercise, but strictly in accordance with current Government rulings around social distancing for COVID-19
Can I still drive to a country park to take my daily exercise?
Yes; parks are now open normal hours with cashless Pay & Display for parking.
Are disabled people allowed to drive and park at the country parks for their daily dose of exercise?
See notes above on car parking which applies to all visitors.
Can I take my dog to the country park for a walk?
Yes, and it constitutes your exercise outside of your home. Please keep them under close control and remember to clean up after them.
Are the toilets still open at the country parks?
Toilets are currently open across all our sites - please see opening/closing times on doors as they may well be different to park opening/closing times
Can my children use the play areas?
Play areas remain open. Please follow the guidance notices on site, bring hand sanitizer for personal use and ensure you adhere to social distancing measures.
What am I allowed to do at the parks?
Walking, cycling or running are permitted however social distancing measures still apply.
Please note swimming is not permitted at any of our Country Parks.
What about permits during this time?
Is fishing still permitted?
Fishing is available to existing permit holders and day ticket fishing tickets can be purchased from the cashless machine at Kingsbury, follow guidance in fishing lodge at entrance for information. Day tickets include parking.
Are there still people working at the country parks?
Yes. Some rangers are still working at the country parks and will be undertaking basic maintenance and safety duties whilst observing government advice and guidance.

Are there any refreshments?
Yes, the old barn cafe at Kingsbury Water Park is operating a limited takeaway service as is the Granary Tea Rooms at the Broomey Croft side of the park. Ryton Courtyard Cafe is also operating a limited takeaway service and ice creams.
